Trend Alert: New Heights

Calvin Klein Resort 2015

I've noticed some pants with higher waistlines recently. This could only be in response to the continued popularity of the crop top where one seeks the perfect ratio of skin to fabric.

Trend Alert: Baring it All

The newest and most controversial trend in fashion is leaving little to nothing to the imagination. Rihanna stirred up shock and awe when she arrived at the CFDA's in New York City earlier this week to receive the Fashion Icon award. The singer wore an Adam Selman see-through dress accessorized with a head scarf, gloves, and a pink fur stole that star draped over her arms and coquettishly held in place over her nude-colored thong. Her entire outfit (minus the stole) was covered in over 216,000 Swarovski crystals, lending a dazzling, star-studded effect to the barely-there ensemble.

Calling All The Basic B#@$!: Rihanna Makes an Entrance at The CFDA's

You're basic. Rihanna  stuns onlookers, photographers, and peers by making a glittering entrance into the 2014 CFDA Awards. Badgirl Riri , wearing Adam Selman, was the last to arrive -- certainly well worth the wait.

Music Break: First Aid Kit To Release First Major-Label Album, 'Stay Gold'

Swedish sisterly duo, First Aid Kit, is set to release their first major-label album, Stay Gold, on June 10th. Johanna Söderberg, 23 and Karla Söderberg, 21 got their first taste of notoriety on YouTube in 2008 with their cover of the Fleet Foxes song 'Tiger Mountain Peasant'.

The sisters hail from Stockholm but have a fondness for the American folk.Stay Gold features the familiar bluesy ache of country music. "What if my hard work just leads to despair?/What if the Road won't take me there?," the sisters sing on the title track 'Stay Gold'--but it's not all about lonely hearts and broken dreams. First Aid Kit bounces back with the jangly thigh-slapping folksy twang on the penultimate track 'Heaven Knows.' Not strictly a country album, the First Aid Kit sound can be described as bright indie pop with down home roots.

Karl and Johanna's voices sparkle throughout the albums 10 tracks with beautiful harmonies, adding a lasting sheen that sometimes slightly darkens with haunting melodies. Although it is common knowledge that all that glitters is not gold, rest assured that Stay Gold is the real thing.
